Fashion Photography
- Purpose – I have chose to do fashion photography, the purpose for this type of photography is to promote fashion, which could come from the high street or more high-end classy shops and companies. I have been asked to do this in a brief to make good enough photos to be put in an exhibition.
- Deadline – I have 4 weeks to complete this task, which will include planning, doing a recce, risk assessment, taking the photos and editing the photos.
- Audience – The audience I am trying to appeal to is a young audience that have an interest in fashion. The audience age I am expecting it to be are around 16-20 years old as I am trying to attract the younger generation that are passionate about fashion and will be interested.
- Concept – For this project I will be using three different models therefore the visuals and locations will be different in all three photos. All three will be outside so I will mostly be using natural lighting but if not I will use the flash off the camera to add to the natural lighting or I will photography lighting.
- Location – For two of the models the location will be in the woods to make it look autumnal I want it to be in a dark background but making the models stand out. For my third model I want to make it high street fashion so I might do it in town (Manchester). Before I take my photographs I will do a risk assessment and a recce to make sure I know how to make it safe for myself and the models, also to know exactly where it will be so it wont be difficult for me to find the places.
- Quantity – I will do three pictures for this as that’s what we have been asked to do in the brief ready for the exhibition.
- Usage rights – The pictures will be used in an exhibition and it will only be for one night. If these were real fashion photos they may be used for high street shops such as Topshop and H & M, others could be used for places such as Vogue etc.
